Experience the the Garden of Ireland

Delve into the world of rural Ireland less than an hour’s drive from the capital of Ireland. We provide a sample of our way of life in sheep farming and dog handling with our working Border Collies.

But County Wicklow is blessed with an abundance of areas of natural beauty such as the dramatic waterfalls at Glenmacanass andPowerscourt Waterfalls and Gardens. Or take for example the lush woodlands and valley of Avondale, where guests can take advantage of the ‘Beyond the Trees’ activity centre experience. And on the same site, is the ancestral home of the first ‘Uncrowned King of Ireland’, Charles Stewart Parnell, which visitors can also tour.

Equally rich in cultural and spiritual heritage, the county is steeped in tradition -from the ancient monastic ruins in Glendalough (above which our sheep graze for the summer), to the ennduring legacy of early Christianity, St Patrick and the stories of St Kevin and monks who once built their churches here, the remains of which can still be found today.

Or give a visit to Avoca, where the old woolen handweaving mill is still operating and provides a tour of the mill and its history, daily.

Together, this unique blend of myth, tangible history and gentle lush landscape makes Wicklow a place of profoud depth and allure
